The United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child is the most widely recognized UN Convention on human rights around the world. Germany and virtually all the countries with which it works as part of German development cooperation have ratified the UNCRC and are committed to implementing it.
This Position Paper highlights inter alia the need for appropriate training provision for national and international experts to enable them to embed children’s and young people’s rights sustainably in German DC projects and in cooperation countries.
